Iwonicz-Zdrój - the "pearl of Podkarpackie spas" is one of the most beautiful and picturesque corners of the Podkarpackie province. Located on the edge of the Low Beskids, it has exceptional landscape, nature and climate values. Extensive forest massifs, which are a remnant of the former Carpathian forest enrich the landscape of Iwonicz. The commune's natural wealth are abundant sources of mineral waters. These are carbonic acid: chloride-bicarbonate-sodium, fluoride, bromide, iodide, boric. They and the climatic values ​​of Iwonicz-Zdrój (high content of iodine, bromine and ozone in the air, no atmospheric pollution) determined the establishment of the spa, one of the oldest in Poland. Described as early as 1578, it was known throughout Europe in the 17th century. It flourished in the mid-nineteenth century and continues to this day despite the war damage. Patients have at their disposal numerous sanatoriums, holiday resorts, guesthouses, spa hospital, mineral water pump room, modern natural medicine facility, recreational and sports base (swimming pool, tennis courts, ski lift), entertainment facilities (cinema, cafes, concert shell) and gastronomy .
