The oldest preserved necropolis of the city. It covers an area of 3.65 ha, between Targowa Street and the Wisłok River. It was founded in 1792 on the border of the then city. The cemetery was officially open until 1910, but during World War II or even after the end of hostilities, people were still buried here. During World War II, Germans plundered a significant part of the metal elements of the tombstones. The cemetery suffered many other damages at the hands of the occupier. The cemetery is characterized by a very large variety of forms and shapes of gravestones. You can find here stone tombs, obelisks, grave monuments in the form of a sarcophagus, chapels, columns or iron crosses on stone pedestals. Classical works predominate here, and there are many from the Neo-Gothic and Romantic period. In addition, there are works of stone art with high artistic value. There is also a monument built in 1886 in honor of the January insurgents and the Tomb of Victims of World War II, erected in the years 2003 - 2004.
