The open-air museum was founded in 1979 in the Markowa commune, where a relatively large number of wooden houses from the 19th and 20th centuries have survived. Currently, the open-air museum of the Markov Village Museum provides visitors with seven fully equipped facilities. They are: a cottage of a peasant from 1874, stables from a peasant farm with a log structure - the end of the 19th century, a barn with a coach house - the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, a granary - the end of the 19th century, a windmill-koźlak - the 20th century, a poor cottage "with a pigsty - 1905, thatched beehives, treadmill and well with a crane, forge (reconstructed) with antique equipment. Inside the active windmill there are complete milling devices.
