Built in a place where, according to tradition, the Mother of God appeared to Tomasz Michałka in 1590. The basilica is the sanctuary of Our Lady of Consolation and the monastery of the Bernardine Fathers. There is also a parish next to the temple. The present early Baroque church was built in 1618-1628 from the foundation of the Crown Court Marshal Łukasz Opaliński. It was originally a stone church, which was built in 1594. The impressive building is 60 meters long, 6 meters wide and 28 meters high. The facility can accommodate up to 5,000 people. The interior and its decor were made by artists who were mainly Bernardine fathers. In 1637, an altar was built, followed by richly decorated stalls and a pulpit. On April 20, 2005, the architecturally rich basilica was declared a Historical Monument.
