The Regional Center of Borderland Cultures is a self-government cultural institution operating on the basis of its statute. The RCKP conducts extensive international activities, in particular directed at borderland countries, in order to present and develop the culture of borderland nations and to build intercultural dialogue. The goal of the activity is to prepare and acquire the society for active participation in culture by creating a wide range of cultural activities. RCKP services cover various artistic fields directed to all social and age groups. The main goal of the RCKP is to prepare and acquire the society for active participation in the cultural life of the city and the region. The basic tasks include: recognition and awakening of interests and needs in the field of culture, preparation for creating and receiving art, shaping patterns of active participation in culture. Particularly important activity is leading and initiating an amateur artistic movement. The youngest take their first dance steps in the "Kleks" Children's and Youth Dance Group, and older dancers improve their skills in the "Strecz" Contemporary Dance Group. The theater groups are struggling with: Youth Theater "etc ..." and Joyful Family Theater Academy. Real masterpieces of paper, clay, salt mass conjure up participants of the Open Studio. In 2003, the offer of art education was expanded to include drawing classes for adults that enjoyed unflagging interest, and the Studio of Traditional Graphics has been operating since 2008. Five-year-olds have been meeting at the Umiałka Club since 2009, and the elderly at the Senior Club. A music workshop polishes around 10 different bands every year in the RCKP rooms. SWING Song Studio and Miejska Górnicza Brass Band have joined the groups for several years. Team activities are designed to awaken interests, encourage joint action for the benefit of the local community, stimulate the activity of class participants, as well as shape character traits, attitudes and personality. Under the guidance of professionals, class participants develop their interests and fascinations through active participation in classes and independent creative activities. There are many competitions and reviews in which creators are promoted. Writers, photographers, artists, canaries and exotic birds, numismatists and chess players meet in the RCKP rooms. As part of regular classes and occasional meetings, they exchange their experiences and spend their free time together. Each year, RCKP implements several large events with the participation of artists from around the world. The season of open-air events, the inhabitants of Krosno and the surrounding area begin with the "Balloons over Krosno" Cultural and Entertainment Festival, then celebrate Krosno Days in June, feast around the bonfire during "Sobótka nad Wisłokiem", meet with art and science during the Krosno: Świet (l) event ne City, celebrate together with a large number of tourists in the Carpathian Climate. During the summer, they have the opportunity to see many famous performers and have a good time on Summer Sundays at the Market Square and Summer Adventures with the RCKP. In winter, they bid farewell to the old year together, and then carol sing, referring to the oldest Polish traditions. The RCKP also organizes many concerts, chamber recitals, literary meetings, performances, etc. Some of the cyclical events reach back to several (Music Landscapes, Galicja Blues Festival, Concerts behind the curtain), and others even for several decades (Krosno Theater Meetings, Krosno Autumn Music). The institution also carries out series of festival events for children and young people, such as: Festival of Youth Theaters, OTHER, Festival of Children's Theaters, SMILE CUP. During the year, all possible RCKP galleries fill up with interesting exhibitions.
